Homepage of a veteran Microsoft and LucasArts programmer. He also wrote the first JPEG viewer for Macintosh, which earned him 5000 postcards.
Curiously, he also built MAME. That name is familiar to me. There was a shortcut on the desktop of our first computer: "MAME 1000 Games!", presumably installed as a courtesy by the small computer shop that sold us the computer. Clicking the shortcut made the screen flicker, a caret blinked in the top corner, then I was presented a menu screen listing many games. The names were unfamiliar to me. Quite a lot had the word [Bootleg] in them, which I found humorous. I was roughly eight years old and I mostly played 1942.
Little did I know this was DOS mode. Windows 98 had the impressive ability to leap from the 90s back to the 80s at the drop of a hat.
Heaviness: Light Eccentricity: 7/10
